Empty seashells

Empty seashells lying on the beach

have stories long and far to reach

Scars are tombs of the pains of the past

a rusted nail too has a narrative of its past

The Events end but the memories don't

Stories end but the morals don't

people die but legends don't

footprints of great men on the sands of times

will later be the lines of rhymes

passed on an on by word of mouth

to the next and next of mankind

History  a graveyard of events of the past

the pages in books are tombs where memories rest

Lessons to be learned and acted upon

inspired from those days that are gone

The truth and lies

legends and myths

Facts and fiction

gossip and trash

mixed and served as time flies

as the records and history of the bygone days
