Death

Death is a mystic Death is a mystic whom everyone knows and everyone knows not too but certainly, death will for you one day come Walking in from nowhere or when expected least and walking away when expected most wanted or unwanted its entry is for sure Some are scared, some are not Some are there who want to dare  Some others out there prefer not to talk  Some die on their beds, at home some die in faraway lands unknown  Some on the sands, some on the shores Some in the water or in the skies  some on the rocks, others die doing their jobs But all die that's for certain and sure   After death, the rituals, the mourning and all then the corpse is buried or burned the crowd will disperse and dissolve but the memories linger to deliver pain The near and dear will live on with flashes and fragments of memories of the gone slowly as the time passes on The person departed and all the memories are gone the muted past a vague memory hazy remembrances of the d...
The still & heavy darkness shrouded the earth. Far away on the horizon the gloomy rain clouds pregnant with a rain – glid lazily through the skies. The lovely Moon is not to be seen around. The oceans roaring and lashing the shore with its violent waves: for the sins committed in the broad daylight. The twitter of the night bird: the glow of the fireflies, the night breeze on the reeds, the strange scents of the grass seed, and the silence struggling to take command. The occasional clasps of thunder tearing the skies, with lightning lighting burning the darkness away. The listless soul – wandering on, with nothing to do and nothing done, driven by destiny, like a dry leaf blown by the wind Nowhere to, nothing to do, no one to befriend - and all alone Balakrishna Gopinath

The memories of you will ever remain

The memories of you will ever remain Years will run by Time will fly But memories of you will never ever die. Summer winters Snow and shine The seasons change The hill and dale The land and sky The mountains and valleys The sun and moon The dawn and dusk The wind and rain But you forever in my heart will remain Ups and downs Smiles and frowns Cheers and tears The anger and pain Greed and jealousy Passage of time in the frame of time The memories of you will ever remain

satyam brūyāt

satyam brūyāt priyam brūyāt na brūyāt satyam apriyam priyam anritam na brūyāt esha dharmah sanātanah (Manusmriti 4:138)  “Say what is true, say what is sweet, but do not say what is true but not sweet, nor say what is sweet but not true, this is wisdom.”
Hanuman hurt the mighty Ravana’s and   orders Hanuman to be killed! But Vibhishana convinces  Ravana about the importance of  ‘Raaja Dharma’ – A righteous king should never put a messenger to death, although he is a wicked person.   The  first most important lesson for a leader is presented here :   a leader should never give himself/herself away while taking crucial decisions. There is no space for emotions in decision making . However, Ravana changes his strategy, and decides on  a different punishment – in form of an insult and defamation !” “Kapeenaam kila laangoolam ishtam bhavati bhooshanam! Tatasya dveepvyathaam sheegram thena dadhyena gacchathu!!” As monkeys take a lot of pride with their long tails ( Laangoolam ), i  burn his tail with fire!   An the apt punishment and an  insult to what his doings !  Drag him along with his burning tail and take him all around Lanka!  Let everyone see him and make fun of hi...

Empty seashells

Empty seashells lying on the beach have stories long and far to reach Scars are tombs of the pains of the past  a rusted nail too has a narrative of its past The Events end but the memories don't Stories end but the morals don't people die but legends don't footprints of great men on the sands of times will later be the lines of rhymes  passed on an on by word of mouth  to the next and next of mankind History  a graveyard of events of the past the pages in books are tombs where memories rest Lessons to be learned and acted upon inspired from those days that are gone  The truth and lies legends and myths Facts and fiction gossip and trash  mixed and served as time flies as the records and history of the bygone days

Is all that worth the life that was lost!!!

Standing alone on the battlefield Devoid of the weapons warriors and all Tired wounded and desperate too   The gloomy scent of defeat descends Valor and pride drain away The shadow of failure is growing long     One by one the senses go numb The sharp and piercing war cries die With fellow men -wounded and dead, Weapons deadly are now scattered scrap   Staggering in fatigued and swagger mode Still trying in vain against the ferocious enemy hoard The battle attires a tattered shroud   In failure all that you earned is lost The men you trusted and prided about the weapons you always flaunted a lot   Reduced to the state of a tramp on the street whom even the God of death does not greet standing alone, lost and forgone in battlefield   Fleeting flashes of the glorious past The battles won are tales of the past The glory and grandiose are razed to dust   Then the bugles and drums The c...

At least, let's learn to be sensitive, sharing, and caring in these times of natural calamities and pandemics !!!

In these times of hardships inflicted on the world by the cruel and fierce pandemic - of course which will also, no doubt this too will definitely pass: it is worth pondering on the human society and its very integrity, fabric, and makeup!! Sadly, many of us are unable to respond to the circumstantial helplessness of our fellow beings. We remain so insensitive to the magnitude and intensity of the misery unleashed all around us. Yes indeed !! Some of us are lucky to be lucky enough, not to have experienced these bad times. But, that should not be a cause for turning a blind eye to miseries our fellow beings. We muster all strength and will rise but at times it is impossible to do so. That's when we need to provide our support. Unfortunately, well being and wealth, very often turn, most of us into selfish and self-centered monsters. Look at those bees, ants, and herds of animals out there. They live for their group and die for it, if necessary! But strangely, while we are humane: ...

And blown away into oblivion !

With your birth, your death was confirmed! Your journey was from birth to death! It was your journey : it's your beginning, And then yes indeed; It's your end. You gained nothing, You lost nothing, You lived and you died. So why do they cry ??? The selfishness that they had you among them, Now you are gone, They have to work hard to fill the gap - that was you! Once the gap is filled you are gone,  you then are a painful lingering memory for some time :  after that, you are gone, gone forever - l ost to oblivion ....... rather into the eternal eternity! So, after all, you were not the you, that you, perceived and prides to be you! You were only and only; their creation, their perception, their dream, they are this and their that, the filler of the many a gap of their's,  in the fictitious world of theirs! Your end hurt them with a gaping hole,  that you made in the fabric of their existence -  so were you just a creation or imagination of theirs? Well then, Were...

the weapon

It is not the weapon: But it's the usage that harms or destroys!
