Hanuman hurt the mighty Ravana’s and   orders Hanuman to be killed! But Vibhishana convinces  Ravana about the importance of ‘Raaja Dharma’ – A righteous king should never put a messenger to death, although he is a wicked person.

The first most important lesson for a leader is presented here : a leader should never give himself/herself away while taking crucial decisions. There is no space for emotions in decision making .

However, Ravana changes his strategy, and decides on a different punishment – in form of an insult and defamation !”

“Kapeenaam kila laangoolam ishtam bhavati bhooshanam!

Tatasya dveepvyathaam sheegram thena dadhyena gacchathu!!”

As monkeys take a lot of pride with their long tails (Laangoolam), i burn his tail with fire!

An the apt punishment and an  insult to what his doings !

Drag him along with his burning tail and take him all around Lanka!

Let everyone see him and make fun of his burning tail!”

“Kaamam khalu name shakthaa nivarthasyaabhi raakshasaaha!

Yathu barthni kruthaarthaaya charantham bharthu shaasanaath!!

Vaidehi shoka sampthathvaa udaasanamupaagatham!

Mangalaabhi mukhee tasya saathasaaseen mahaa kapehe!!

Upathasthe vishaalaaksheem prayathaa havya vaahanam!”

The happy Raakshasaas obeyed by  wrapping and tying  the old sacks and clothes around Hanuman's  tail. Then they  dipped the tail in  oil , and set it on fire .  Hanuman seeing his tail on fire got furious,  tries to shake off the Raakshasaas who were restraining him .

In the mean time Hanuman very patiently plans to retaliate. Having seen Lanka by  night , now is  an opportunity to see it by day , and observe the city during the daytime! its an opportunity to conduct a free tour of the city  of Lanka one more time!”

Hanuman was dragged all over the city by the Raakshasaas. Meanwhile, someone informed Sita  that Ravana has managed to catch Hanuman and his tail is put to fire! She prays to Agni Bhagawan (Lord of Fire).

She prays,

“Oh Agni Bhagawan!

If it is true that I’m a ‘Pathi-vrath’ and I have my mind under complete control, and if it is true that Hanuman is a sincere messenger and a devotee of this Sita and Rama, please do not harm Hanuman with your heat!

Please protect him!”

And , Agni Bhagawan immediately answers her prayers – The level of heat that Hanuman is experiencing, ! Hanuman was surprised by the miracle that he felt ice cold at the place where the fire is burning the tail! At this point.  He was sure it was Lord Rama protection as usual!

Hanuman thinks further, “So far according to my objectives of my mission, I’ve searched and found Sita, spoken with her, handed over the ring of Rama, obtained her messages, spoke to Ravana and understood his stance. What else needs to be done? How can I make these Raakshasaas more frustrated and unhappy?”

Death is a mystic Death is a mystic whom everyone knows and everyone knows not too but certainly, death will for you one day come Walking in from nowhere or when expected least and walking away when expected most wanted or unwanted its entry is for sure Some are scared, some are not Some are there who want to dare  Some others out there prefer not to talk  Some die on their beds, at home some die in faraway lands unknown  Some on the sands, some on the shores Some in the water or in the skies  some on the rocks, others die doing their jobs But all die that's for certain and sure   After death, the rituals, the mourning and all then the corpse is buried or burned the crowd will disperse and dissolve but the memories linger to deliver pain The near and dear will live on with flashes and fragments of memories of the gone slowly as the time passes on The person departed and all the memories are gone the muted past a vague memory hazy remembrances of the d...
