Five thousand years ago, when nationalism did not even exist as a concept, Indian Thought talked of Universalism that transcended all boundaries:

“Ayam nijah paroveti ganana laghuchetasam
Udaracharitanam tu vasudhaiva kutumbakam”

“This is my countryman; that is a foreigner                         —such a view is entertained only by small-minded people; but to the broad, noble-minded, the whole world is one family !!!

Why do we act as GOD

  आकाषात् पतितं तोयं यथा गच्छति सागरम् | सर्व देव नमस्कारः केशवं प्रति गच्छति || AkAshAt patitam tOyam yathA gacchati sAgaram | sarva dEva namaskArah kEshavam pratigacchati || Interpretations: Literal meaning: As all the raindrops falling from the sky ultimately meet their end in the ocean, the worship of any divine God ultimately reaches the one Supreme Lord.
